The most important thing for people when they decide to buy Android-based phone is when manufacturer or the carrier will release the version updates right after Google releases them.

On the picture below we can see statistics that shows who is the faster in releasing of Android 2.2 Froyo update.

While Motorola managed to update only 15.4 of its devices, its big competitor HTC announced that they had updated half of its phones in 2010. Samsung is on the third place with 11.4 % of phones running new version. But such companies as LG, Sony and Dell haven’t released any updates for Froyo yet.

The same is with AT&T that didn’t push any updates for now. But we hope it will improve in the future as they are preparing to release very good smartphones.
