According to The Nielsen Company November research  Android OS with 25.8% is still behind Apple iOS with 28.6% consumer market share. RIM Blackberry’s position is impressively falling. Android OS owns the greatest growth of its share – more
than 10% in the last 6 months.

Nevertheless, Android has become an unquestionable leading OS running on smartphones that were bought in the last 6 month (40%).

It would be very interesting to watch the situation in next 6 months. Due to Android growing popularity it can truly get the first place in the market share race.
