From now on Android users have possibility to send messages, to call for help or even to update their social networks when they’re out of cell-phone coverage. Such gadget was created by world famous French company SPOT.
The new gadget costs around $169.99 and it connects to the phone over Bluetooth and special Android app. The Spot transmits only in one way – SOS calls, text messages up to 41 characters, GPS location messages, which can be posted on social networks automatically or be sent to email or SMS-addresses. But you can’t receive messages on it.
Another good feature of this new gadget is that it can work for up to 4 months on a set of AA lithium batteries.
For now Spot connect works only with Android, but company is currently working on apps for iPhone, BlackBerry and Windows Phone 7.
