GDG Chicago Android

Samsung Galaxy S will really get Gingerbread. But earlier this week the company was saying that they have to evaluate whether or not the Galaxy S line of devices was best suited for Gingerbread. It wasn’t clear why they want to do this as up-coming Nexus S has almost the same specs as Galaxy S.

Today  it was announced at Samsung India twitter page that Samsung Galaxy S will get Gingerbread of course without a timeline.

But one thing is still interesting to all Galaxy S users. It is the update circle. The point is that Samsung Galaxy S came out to the market with Android 2.1 OS and no phones are updated to Android 2.2 for now. After company missed upgrade dates in autumn, it seems like Froyo is right behind us already.

So it is very good that Samsung Galaxy S phones will get Gingerbread OS. But the only question that bothers us now – when exactly it will happen.
