The beginning of the current year is going to be very intensive for HTC as they intend to launch three new tablets in the first two quarters. Company will start with the tablet called “Flyer”, which will be available in the USA in March. This tablet will run Android 2.3 and according to the sources it will be able to be updated to Android 3.0 right after Google releases new version of OS.

HTC is going to launch Flyer tablets in cooperation with telecom what will help it to beat its rivals, such as Motorola XOOM that comes in April or RIM’s PlayBooks – that comes in March.

Company is expected to launch next two tablets in June 2011 that will run Android 3.0.

• screen: 7-inch
• resolution: 1024X600
• CPU: Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8255
• rear camera: 5MP with LED flash and facial recognition
• front-facing camera: 1.3MP for video chatting, with Skype preinstalled
• Android 2.3 Gingerbread
• HDMI port
• HSPA connectivity
• DLNA-enabled
• A remodeled version of Sense that has a “desktop” feel to it
