It's well-known that e-readers are very popular nowadays, especially in North America. Gartner Analysts stated that e-reader shipments could reach 6.6 million units this year and could top 11 million in 2011.
However, they got a very powerful competitor facing tablets that provide much more functionalities. The interest to them increases daily and will sure continue to increase next year. Of course, e-readers have their own devoted consumers, but they will have to maintain their price advantage to stand up to tablet challenge.
There is no doubt that future belongs to multifunction, to fully featured media tablets, which are great substitutes not only for e-readers but even of desktop PCs. What would you choose?
