  • Uki's notes: After using the tablet for a while, you would not be able to pry it from my hands. The screen is great and responsive, the size is perfect to use and to carry in the jacket pocket, or even pant pocket. The pre-installed software is very good. I actually prefer Galaxy Tab as a eBook reader with Nook software then the dedicated NookColor by Barnes & Noble, even if NookColor has much better design. The lack of USB cable is a disgrace and it would be nice if they provided video out, you can buy expensive dock and extra cable. Anyway, in most aspects Galaxy Tab is perfect 5/5 stars until something better comes out.

ViewSonic G Tablet

  • rating 3/5 (***)
  • screen: 10.1'', resistive (bad)
  • resolution: 1024x600
  • front camera: Yes
  • rear camera: No
  • Android 2.2
  • RAM: 512 Mb
  • memory: 16Gb
  • Accellerometer: Yes
  • Ambient Light Sensor: Yes
  • CPU: 1GHz Nvidia Tegra 2
  • price $399 at Office Depot
  • Uki's note: the tablet display requires hard presses and it is very hard to use comparing it to Galaxy Tab or Nook Color, unless you are willing to use stylus, but then there is no point having a big landscape split-hand keyboard the tablet sports. The plastic margins around the screen are huge so the device could benefit from better industrial design as well. Disappoing 3/5 stars for such a good company as ViewSonic.

We dropped from the list:
Archos 43 Internet Tablet 4.3 inch 854x480 resistive touch screen
I provided review for Galaxy Tab and ViewSonic gTablet
Samsung Galaxy tab seems really to deserve the first place in the Top. Only two weeks ago Samsung announced a sale of 700.000 units, and the recent news now tells about more than 1 million. As they say, they expect to sell at least 1.5 million tablets by the end of the current year. Good luck Samsung! Good done!
A new Android Tablet has just entered the Top: "SULI SL-7" for a rather attractive price.
I really like Archos 101 Internet Tablet, is it released yet? Because it's not delivering to my country for now.

Creative ZiiO Android Tablet, now on sale in US, was added to our Top of the Best Tablets

Notion Ink Adam has very impressive characteristics, as for me this is one from the best Android tablets now. Here is the link http://www.notionink.com/index.php and video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2A_jOec9eyc
