Android Very Close To Triumth

Android’s leadership in next year is expected by almost every research company, including IDC .

At the moment Android phones are taking 23% of total shipments in Western Europe in Q3, 2010. IDC analyst Francisco Jeronimo said that in Western Europe Android has some market leaders:

• 39% HTC
• 27% Sony Ericsson
• 14% Samsung

The analyst also noticed that the iPhone was on the top last year, but today it it's not so popular anymore, because it is not new. Samsung Galaxy S became its greatest competitor. Galaxy S provides almost the same functionality like iPhone but costs less.

Smartphones market continues to grow. Its share is about to reach 50% of the total Western Europe handset shipments next year.
