According to Harris interactive research, which was made for Pontiflex, almost half of ads clicks in mobile apps are accidental.

Most people say that they click on advertising by mistake more often than they do this on purpose, what is really striking. So the question is - if you are a mobile marketer, why would you run a cost-per-click campaign?

Another important point of this is keyword targeting within the Mobile app space. For example in Angry birds there are ads for bird cages, wild bird food centers and birding exhibits. Ads placed like this are not only annoying for users but also another way of wasting ad dollars.

Harris interactive did two researches for Pontiflex with a total of 4,000 respondents on all mobile platforms.
