A very popular feature of mobile applications is to provide location aware display of items on a map. This presentation will demonstrate
how to develop that important use case by using the familiar example of garage sales. Local garage sale information will be retrieved from a server and displayed on the phone using the Android Google Maps API.

Speaker Bio

James Harmon is a consultant and trainer specializing in Android development. He has a background in Java and related open source
frameworks including Spring, Hibernate and JSF. Jim has also written a book for Prentice Hall on the Dojo JavaScript Framework. He was formerly a Manager with Accenture and now runs his own Training company: Object Training Group, Inc. He can be reached at
